In my opinion, the Accumedic billing system is the best
system to be implemented in this clinic. I have worked with
many systems both in the workplace and in class at City College,
and have found that the Accumedic program was the easiest and
smoothest in becoming HIPAA compliant. Other systems usually
take months to go through all of the steps that are involved in
this lengthy process. On the other hand, with Accumedic it
actually took us one month.
In the
area of billing, the system is the ultimate in multi-tasking. I
can view as many as 12 windows starting from Patient
Demographics, to the last stage, which is submitting the actual
charge, within seconds. The most impressive feature, is
submitting a batch for transmission to Medicaid or
Medicare. The whole process is totally automated and literally
takes a few seconds. When the “Gen and ACK” reports are ready,
I am able to read and understand them with no problem. Whereas
when using the other system, I constantly had a problem, or had
to wait for a response from the vendor, which took days. This
system lets you know immediately if you have any errors and if
it is a program error. Andre Jones, Tech Support, Accumedic

This system also has unlimited
capabilities when it comes to record keeping and compiling
reports. It is an all day task just to create something as
simple as a patient roster from our other system. The Accumedic
system is extremely “user friendly”
especially when we are ready to integrate the system with the
